The company needs to honor the contract language! However, I wanted to add that I have concerns regarding managers who are confused about the contract language when hiring new employees. I am not certain the most Senior member who has the "ACTUAL" experience in a specific area are getting the jobs. I think some managers are hiring employees who they like or who they think will be easier to manage. That is not how it works!

what seems to be happening is a knee jerk reaction. To the company..take a moment and this can be solved in partnership. Doing this otherwise can result in ageism lawsuits, and certainly against the company's philosophy to be a company that supports work-life balance. You cannot practice that just when it is conveor you. With respect.

cutting staff dollars looks good in the asset column with the aftermath always affecting patient care in the liability column. Find another way.

I find the total disregard for the senior employees and the basic agreements appalling. It needs to stop!

It drives me crazy when management wants to pick and choose who they like. It's like Trump's cabinet!

KP needs to honor our senior employees who have years of experience and knowledge. Let's keep the bar high and keep raising the bar for excellent care within Kaiser.

I hope KP will step up and do the right thing; honor employee seniority, regardless of FTE! We believe in Labor Management partnership and trust you will let justice rule and keep you agreement.

I agree with the other comments and would expect/hope that Kaiser management would respect all of us, especially those with seniority no matter what the FTE is they are working.

Local 7 members have honored Kaiser Permanente by working hard and helping this comlany thrive. We would expect this company to honor the contract as we have done. We would hope you will respect us and the contract.

That is such a disrespect to the employee who has put in her years of service.

I am an on-call employee with 28 years at KP, so I can easily see myself in a similar situation and would hope that my colleagues would support me.

Why am I only hearing this now. Have you been keeping Local 7 members in the loop?

It's not what you say ,it's what you do that creates integrity and trust.

The company's action is a blatant violation of the Local 7 CBA and completely unacceptable.

Although I also don't always agree with the process of adhering strictly to seniority for decisions making, it is what we agreed upon in the contract. If we begin subjectively obeying the contract where will it end?
