Yes please!! We moved to roosevelt Island specifically from Alabama so that our children could stay close on the island for school. I am a nurse practitioner in the city and my husband works in the computer from home. He has been unable to perform and get paid with both girls learning remote usually 4 days awake. We need learning bridges on Roosevelt Island!! Thank you!!

There are so many health-care and other Frontline workers on the island, they should not have to put their children through the additional risk of public transport to attend Learning Bridges. Nikki Leopold's Island Kids set-up is excellent and would actually allow Learning Bridges to be an effective solution for parents who already have to manage a commute to work. It is also vital for the mental health of the children to have as much safe social interaction as possible, on top of learning support.

My children participated in Island Kids programs I have always been a huge supporter and am happy to lend my support however I may be needed and angry that we are in a position to even have to do this.

The city cannot ignore Roosevelt Island families who need a Learning Bridges location. Island Kids would be a perfect site for this program.

As a single working mom of two young kids, it is important for me to have a local Learning Bridges site close to the school the kids attend. In addition, the kids are already familiar with Island Kids staff. Kids need constants in their lives, especially in this very disruptive period in which we are living.

Roosevelt Island is a mixed income geographically-challenged neighborhood in the middle of the East river, please relieve parental stress by offering Learning Bridges on the island.

Roosevelt Island families as well as those with children attending school on the island need access to a learning bridge site on the island. It could serve not only the Roosevelt Island community, which has a high number of first responders and essential personnel, but also nearby communities in Long Island City and Astoria.
