We need to have this. When I was little I had so much fun at stambourough park and the open air pool. There's NOTHING for the kids these days. Please please please open this

hitchin has one letchworth has one Hatfield had one and was taken away because it was deemed unsafe. should employ more people rebuild a new one and staff it probably

My Mum and Dad used to take me and my sister there when we were kids. I loved it and was really sad when they closed it. Be nice to see it brought back.

Long time awaited since stanborough pool shut. Money wasted on a climbing facility that never opened, would have been costly & not to everyone's taste anyway. How about thinking of the local people aswell as the visitors, the children need better leisure facilities that don't cost a fortune. Look at the lack of decent parks in the area, even king George is boring after 5 minutes. WE NEED A WATER PLAY AREA!!!!!

Stanbrough is very boring for a child when u spend ur summer days down the as a family and ur down there most of the day all there's is to do as a child is play on swings and climbing frames which get boring quickly from what I remember from being a child or to play in the Lake it self which most parents don't mind when it's the shallow parts that don't have bird and fish pop in. Unlike the bigger parts of the lake which habitats the different kinds of fish and birds they can feed bread to but the lake itself which is full of dirt and all sorts which u wouldn't really want ur kid playing in. Other then that not a lot for them to do a parent can sit relax get some sun watching the kids having a laugh with mates there sitting with and could do that all day. But children get bored quickly and want to go off exploring then that's when accidents happen as they don't say anything to the parent they just go off. If there was a swimming pool they wouldn't get bored and wonder off as be to busy having fun with other children swimming or playing in the park and could go from one to the other while the parents still get to chill and catch sun n chat while Watching the children playing in the park or pool and not have to worry about them wondering off.

Stambrough needs a wet play area , dout there be swimming pool ideas not after the last tragedy :( however it needs something maybe like Stevenage thev a wet area
