The head of this project came from Equinox - they are clearly out of touch with Roosevelt Island. A lot of people here live off of government assistance, attend the food pantry, and are struggling to make ends meet. I paid for my daughter for years to swim here as she grew- up years ago and it is devastating to think that people similar to my situation now would not be able to provide such a 'luxury' to their children. Sportspark should consider looking at the individual income of residents to determine price.

This kind of pricing looks set to end access to Sports Park for the majority of the Roosevelt Island community that has already been all harmed by overdevelopment and purely profit driven interests of the decision makers.
