I believe the size of this electorate is totally unmanageable, especially with the current travel restrictions. The size of the electorate, time and distance to travel to cater to the constituents and meet deadlines is ridiculous.

Not fair on the people of this vast region. Allowing this to occur once again is giving the minority NO VOICE

Need a new State instead. Governed from too far away, and the Governance is too expensive. We can govern ourselves much cheaper, and we have all the resources..

There is no way we will be fairly represented with an electorate of this proposed size

Having lived in the northwest, to cover this type of area is completely impractical. This reduces the voice of those losing most to foreign investors!

Having lived in the North west I know what the isolation means. There should be more representation of politicians not less. It should be 3 electorates not this HUGE electorate. People are entitled to a voice not a whisper

While I don't live in the north west any more, I do feel they are being ignored while all revenue collected from the area is being channeled into other coffers. Totally WRONG!

To be adequately represented in the Queensland parliament, the rural and regional areas require this action. The current electoral boundary structure is not providing full and proper representation of the rural and regional as evidenced by the decline in populations and economies of the rural sector in Queensland.

Good idea, needs to happen.

Combine some of the smaller areas in the city who have same issues. Much of our wealth comes from the north and yet you want us to be unrepresented so we can get more forgotten than we already are.

Absolutely ridiculous to ask 1 person to cover the needs of all the residents of a shire so large. Stop looking at numbers of people living in this area and start looking at the practicalities of servicing an area so incredibly big. Send some of the decision makers out to actually drive around the area - you'll soon understand why this decision is ludicrous! !

Ridiculous to expect one person to cover an area of the proposed size. We need more representation in rural/remote/regional areas, not less.
