We need more representation out here not less! This is where all the money comes from to finance the south east corner! There should be more bang for our buck!

How can one person effectively represent such a large and diverse geographic area?!!

Most ridiculous proposal I have seen. How is one person supposed to do their job effectively. Or is that the plan...can;t represent effectively therefore monies go to south east corner once again.

Agree,..... it is way to big of an electorate for us, it is hard enough for us to get government funding now if it goes to 1 will will never have a chance..

High time this this blatantly unfair electoral system was cleaned up so that remote residents of this state get as fair a hearing as those in the overcrowded south east corner.

Mining companies and rural industries make all the money in the bush and then they take away our vote. So now we'll get less money for road and infrastructure repairs! How can they expect one person to cover the area to represent us?

This is revenge for the Katter team helping farmers and small rural businesses. Take away one of their electorates!

Like mushrooms they want us to grow, keep us in the dark and don't have any input. We need a new state of Carpentaria - say, north of Rocky?

Typical of the government trying to dictate to us where we live, apparently we cost to much in infrastructure out here in our smaller towns, seems they forget where a lot of the income comes from! and how many jobs there are out here! yet we continue to beg to get any government funding.

We all need a voice in government and one person cannot be expected to cover this huge region especially when we don't have adequate health services, communication services such as internet or telephone. I say this because we have had no telephone service for the last 2 nights!!! Education is becoming a huge expense also which is not going to be affordable. Get rid of state Governments!

Why do they continue to treat the people from the electorates that provide so much of the states wealth with such contempt. Time to start thinking about what is best for the state as a whole and not just SE Qld.

This is just unthinkable! Try it in the S-E areas first to see if it works!!!

I feel the proposed area is far too vast for one person to represent adequately. 3 electorates is a much more viable option.
