3 state electorates - not 1!

All the points being made are valid and lead to one single fact the proposed electorate of Tregar is an impossible size to represent the people that live in this great part of Queensland. Somewhere along the line the benchmark has to move and population based policy has to stop drowning out the minority's right to be heard and issues that are regionally important to long term sustainability and liveability are taken into account.

This is ludicrous - once again the remote areas of Queensland get nothing from the Government and the Government ignoring the needs or wants or remote Queensland

This is insane. Rural voters have enough trouble being represented already, this is going to make their voices even more muted.

Please seriously consider the wealth that the region brings into this state and the need for effective representation to assist the ongoing success of this. By decreasing the size of the electorate not increasing it we can get a better result, the distances that our member travels is downright dangerous, we need some foresight and long term planning which will benefit both the region and the state as a whole. Less people in this region to represent does not equal less work or opportunity, we are sitting on a huge mining and pastoral sector that has not got anywhere near its potential due to limited infrastructure and governance. Let's stop playing politics and work to doing what's right in the longer term.

Far too big an area for one electorate that would have to be adequately represented by one member.

We totally agree that this proposed electorate is far too big and unwieldy to be effectively serviced by only one representative.

This size electorate is too huge to honestly service by one member.

Rural Queensland generates a large portion of our State's wealth and needs a louder voice

As usual, the powers that be wriggle their heads further up their proverbial... south east oricle! The state government administration of and tax collection from the regional areas could be likened to a household of dole-bludgers, with a teenager next door who works three jobs to scratch together funds to provide a barbeque every weekend for his dependant neighbours... From the outside, the system in USA, comprising 50 states, each largely collecting taxes from and individually benefitting from the goods and services that their state produces, manufactures or provides would surely, more equitably distribute the wealth and subsequent benefits, of this great state? We are not demanding (yet) restructuring of the tax system, just fair and reasonable representation. Lets not fall victim to the oldest military tactic in history- 'divided and conquered'... Have we had enough yet?...........

Fair go! We in this area are lifting more than our fair share. We need fair representation in electorates that are reasonable size. Our electorate is already near impossible to cover. Give us more not less representation.

It is not feasible, that one person, can represent all constituents, in the size of some of the proposed electorates, such as Treager. They should be made smaller.

Needs to be 3 not one. Just too big.

The electorate is too big already. Not possible to fully and fairly provide for so many differing industries, grazing, mines, transport ect.

Under the proposed redistribution the elected representative would need to be either Superman or Superwoman.

This only decreases the voice for people living in an already remote area. Not a forward step.

Country people must have adequate representation.
