Such a shame when something like a zoning issue shuts down a vibrant community location that was truly a family-friendly location and an enjoyable stop for all. Bring back the food trucks!

Dear City of Tucson,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the closure of a community favorite spot known as "The Pit". I understand that this closure was due to city zoning laws, but I want to make a plea on behalf of the entire community to find a resolution to bring The Pit back to the Tucson community.
The Pit was more than just a food truck spot; it was a place where people came together to enjoy delicious food and great company. It was a unique and vibrant community hub that brought people of all ages and backgrounds together. The closure of The Pit has left a noticeable void in our community, and I implore you to consider the impact it has had on the community and the small business food trucks that rely on the income from this spot.
I understand that city zoning laws are in place for a reason, but I believe that there must be a way to find a resolution that allows The Pit to operate within the law while still providing the community with a beloved and cherished spot. The food trucks that rely on this spot are not meant to be brick and mortar establishments, and they deserve the opportunity to continue to thrive and support their families.
I urge you to consider the impact that The Pit has had on our community and to work with the community and small business owners to find a resolution that allows The Pit to return to the Tucson community. I believe that a compromise can be reached that benefits everyone involved.

We need places around town where a variety of food trucks can park. Look at Portland and at Rutgers University as examples. The variety of trucks all in one place is a major draw.
