Please support local small businesses by allowing them to operate on available land. If and when you have a better option, then you can submit it. No need to halt what is working, until you have a viable alternate solution in place.

Food truck operators are just trying to make a legal living, something the City of Tucson should encourage not oppress. So now what? You tell these hard-working food truck operators that they can't work to make a decent living yet if they were to lose their food trucks completely and be in need of assistance they would get nothing. Because the city has no help right now. City of Tucson you have to decide, it has to be one or the other. Either a lot workers to work and earn their living or release funds to assist people who are not able to work and take care of their families.

Outdated policies are killing small businesses in this town. Cmon Tucson you already tried to kill The Pit but you’ll sell every parcel of land to box stores and fast food chains

I live near this place. This is a legitimate business that seems to be steadily improving and adding to the east side economy as well. I've never heard any bad comments about The Pit. It has a creative feel and is very convenient for the many users of The Loop.

The idea for The Pit was/is great. Let's the food trucks have a home, and as important lets we Tucsonans have a nice place to get various styles of food in one place. I can't drive all around the city to try the various trucks, but I would definitely go to an area where several are serving the food.
And having it all in one area helps the food truck owners also. Gives their small businesses a permanent home. And frankly that lot had sat empty for years and years. It's a great use for it and it's win for the trucks and their would-be customers too. Let The Pit stay. Work with them to get whatever they need done settled so that they can stay there, in a reasonable time and for a reasonable cost.
