I got to know Lloyd when my son and his daughter were in Elementary at Wood. I loved how much he and his wife, Lisa, were such positive, motivational role models. Mr. Day then became the principal for all my children at Boles. I witnessed the atmosphere of the school transformed. We had a Principal that was engaged with the students. Many days, Mr. Day greeted them in the morning and was invested in their lives.
I then had the unique experience of seeing Lloyd leading the youth ministry at Connect church. He was amazing and was inclusive and our youth blossomed, loving the Lord and investing in missions.
I know his heart and have experienced his love of children. I am blessed that he was such a positive part of my children's lives.

You inspired me to be a not just a good teacher but an excellent one. In my 23 years with this district, Maryhelen Bronson and you were the 2 people who I always trusted to give me the best advice. I worked with Mr. Day at Lynn Hale Elementary. He was amazing. The staff, students, and parents loved and admired him. Shame on AISD.

This honorable man stands head and shoulders above principals anywhere on earth!!!!i was blessed to work under him at Speer many years ago...integrity, kindness, inspiring, beloved are among the words to describe this wonderful, gracious man and educator. He oozes integrity, honesty, caring, ability, and inspiration, just to name a few adjectives to use to describe this one in a million kind of educators.....if there were a principal contest he would win hands down... I cannot say enough about this terrific man!!!!!

Mr Lloyd Day was and still is an advocate for our children. Professionalism and compassion for others are words that come to mind to describe Lloyd Day. His compassion to do what is best for our children was not always appreciatated by those "in charge". Thank you Lloyd for your guidance in our community. Thank you for mentoring countless others. Thank you for protecting our campus even when we did not know when it was a target for poor administrative choices. It was not just about the "numbers" for you. It was about the kids and families behind those "numbers". Thank You
