The best principle I have ever observed. Sincerely cares about his students, teachers, and parents. He made it look effortless to be so knuwledgable on each and every child. We miss him tremendously at Hill.

Mr. Day is the area Deal! I had the pleasure of working with him while he was the Principal at Lynn Hale Academy. My children were students and I volunteered on PTA and several other occasions. He made all kids feel special and had them wanting to attend school. He is the most sincere and dedicated person around. AISD really lost a great educator.

AISD lost a great principal. I have never met a teacher or student that disliked Mr. Day. He brought a presence of the joy of learning and integrity among faculty, students and parents. The children loved him. When I worked as a teacher under Lloyd, school was a happy place and children loved being there. Joyful learning was encouraged and academic excellence was the result. How sad for the community and schools in Arlington. Sandy Evans

I had the absolute pleasure of teaching for Lloyd at Hill. My children are some of the lucky ones who got to have him as their principal. The faculty, staff, students and parents miss him so much, but we know that God has a perfect plan for him! Thank you for giving my family such a comfortable, loving, safe, FUN place to work and go to school! We love and miss you!

I liked the fact I could see him at all the fine art performances of the kids. It wasn't that he was just there, but he looked like he was really having fun and the kids knew and sensed it too.

Mr. Day was a wonderful principal and is missed daily by his staff and students. He was an effective instructional leader who always had the well being of his "kids" and faculty as a priority. He always made everyone feel loved. I have no doubt he will be successful at whatever he does. He is a godly man. A piece of the heart of Hill Elementary is missing.

We had the privilege of seeing Mr. Day in action as he treated parents, students and teachers with dignity and professionalism. It was very much a shock to learn of his unexpected retirement.

I have known Lloyd and Lisa Day for over 30 years. First time was when they taught my 3 preschool daughters at Emler Swim School. Emler only hired certified teachers and Lloyd and Lisa exemplified why this was a great decision. Then several years later, the Day's moved into the house across the street where they were exceedingly kind to 3 tow-headed little girls. Lisa and I worked at S. Davis together several years. And I kept track of Lloyd's successes and was delighted when I learned that he was principal of the school that my grandchildren attended. The kids adored him! He took great care of his teachers and "his kids." The boys and I were devastated at his "retirement."
