Dear MDCPS, This is a HUGE mistake and you know it. Instead of worrying so much about the finances as you all continue to cut corners, think about the quality of education that you're degrading. Your school system continues to drop teachers and then you all wonder why our proficiency in reading and mathematics continue to drop. Please do yourselves a favor and do SOMETHING right because this is the last teacher you want to let go from your team. Think it through because the answer is clear.

As a parent and former faculty member, I can attest to Ms I' value to PMS. She is one of those teachers who students never forget as she makes an effort to touch everyone's life. Over her years at PMS, she has contributed to PMS academic excellence. It would be very sad for PMS to loose such a valuable member.

Keep her!! Don't let an amazing and kind teacher that does so much go away !

This is so unfortunate. Ms. I. was had an amazing influence onmy son as well as on me. She cared so much for everyone of her students. She worked tirelessly to provide every one of her students with every opportunity she could find for them. She spoke to them in ways they understood. They KNEW she cared for them. She is an amazing human being. I will be eternally grateful to her for the guidance and love she showed to me and my son. What a shame!!! This is so sad.

She is one of the best teachers my sons ever had. Not only for her teacher capacities but for her humane values.

phenomenal teacher, poor decision by palmetto middle school administration, but not surprised by the way they usually handle things.

Mrs. I is one of those teachers who takes personal interest in genuinely cares about her students. She was with me every step of the way during my three years in student commission. When I look back at my fondest middle school memories Mrs. I helped create every single one . From talents shows to school dances I will always appreciate the amount of time and care she put into making those events a reality. Thank you Mrs. I for all you do, have done ,and should have the opportunity to continue doing for your students.
