Do we want this person in our village !!!!!! WHEN the police arrested a Bidford man who had accessed a website selling child pornography they found “grotesque and depraved images” on his computer. Andrew Bateson aged 38, of Grafton Lane, had pleaded guilty to 12 charges of possessing still and moving indecent images of children and possessing extreme pornography. He was given a community sentence with three years supervision and ordered to take part in a probation programme for 100 days, which Judge Alan Parker said should be the sex offender’s programme. In addition Bateson was ordered to register as a sex offender for five years and was made subject to an electronically-tagged curfew from 7pm to 7am for six months
