Final supporters
In April a majority of us voted to join 1199SEIU in order to win important job improvements and to provide our donors with best experience possible. Many of us were skeptical at the time that management would be willing to hear our concerns and work with us to make improvements. Unfortunately, that skepticism has been proven right.
We met with management in June with the goal of starting bargaining. At this meeting we requested management provide a list of operational concerns that management had with adopting the existing 1199SEIU contract in New York City, and they agreed to do so. We believe much of the contract would improve working conditions for us, and improve the donor experience. We are calling on leadership at the Blood Bank of Delmarva to provide the Union with a list of concerns and sit down with us at the table to improve BBD and reach an agreement.

Enough waiting around. We need fair wages and a real schedule so we can actually take our breaks without the stress. Just get to the table already.
