The comments were in no way worthy of a Senator....or any Canadian for that matter.

I don't know about the apology part, it would be clear she didn't mean it. Let's just be rid of her.

Get this terrible person out of senate. We someone with more compassion & education. This person has shown her ignorance & insensitivity & it's not needed in today's world.

She is not respectful of the First Peoples of this land. Most likely her ancestors were saved by the First people and they turned around and stole our land and resources. If the people of the 150 year old Canada will look deep into how they achieved their assets most would be outright criminals. I'm just wondering if she has some illness that makes her say these outrageous comments then I would say where is her family get her help now her condition will only get worse. A concerned First People

What an embarrassment Ms Beyak is to our country. Her lack of full understanding of the generations of pain, thru a systematic attempt of racial/cultural elimination, of which the residential schools were clearly just one strand in a nefarious web, shows the wilfull blindness of many in our country. To have one such as her in a position of power is intolerable and wrong. She should resign.

Typical example of the disconnect and ignorance representative of the Senate. Absolutely unfit to serve, if indeed serve is an appropriate word to use in relation to this obsolete body of overpaid and self-entitled individuals

She cannot effectively govern if she is this extremely poorly educated about our country's history. What is she doing in Government?
