Ms Beyaks comments are callous and demeaning to all who suffered abuse in the Residential school system. She may NOT negate these experiences and hinder any further conversation to heal the vile deeds done, no matter whether she feels, as a person of privilege, that some had "good intentions". The way to hell is paved with "good intentions" Ms Beyak. And hell is what these CHILDREN experienced.

I demand her to resign and issue an apology! She's lucky to have a privileged life and not the one carrying the burden nor jump bigger hurdles that we face on daily basis to be equal and survive

She is so heartless as to make light of a travesty that was perpetuated to First Nations in front of First Nations and should not be allowed to represent Canada in any way. Kick her out.

She clearly hasn't a clue. It would be like praising the unacknowleged good soldiers that worked at the concentration camps.

Senator Beyak may be no better and no worse than the "average" Canadian. But by her statements she has made light of the disastrous consequences of the residential schools and she has dishonoured the Senate. She needs to resign.

The continued presence of this foolish, ignorant woman in the Canadian Senate grievously undermines the credibility of the institution. She is unfit for public service, and should be dismissed for gross incompetence.
