Lynn Beyak exemplifies colonialism in Canada and is a disgrace to our entire nation. That she holds any authority whatsoever is despicable.

Through her continued and willful publicized ignorance regarding the history of Canada's relationship with its First Nations people, she clearly does not demonstrate Canadian integrity and values and is therefore UNFIT to be a Canadian leader of any type. I encourage Beyek to do the proper thing and step down from her position and stop sharing her opinions based on her ignorant, racist ideals as though they are fact.

You don't get to tell indigenous people how they should feel about residential schools. You're disgraceful. You don't deserve the position you've been awarded.

Shamefully and wilfully ignorant of residential school history, and unapologetic to boot. We do not need wilful ignorance in the senate.

Senator Lynn Beyak had every opportunity to avail herself of the facts. The horror of what they experienced should never be trivialized.

Given these comments, Senator Lynn Beyak has demonstrated that she does not deserve the title of being part of the chamber of "sober second thought." The reduction of what demonstrably amounts to cultural genocide to the realm of well-intention and good deed is egregious. Removal from the Aboriginal peoples committee is not enough. Beyak's doubt over adding protection in the Human Rights Act for transgender people and advising them to not draw attention to themselves is another angle for Beyak's complete incapacity to make decisions that are in the best interests of Canadians. She must resign immediately.

There must be someone who doesn't need to be taught about empathy for communities that are marginalized.
