Beyak's comments reflect her inability to see beyond her own privilege. We don't want or need this kind of representation in the Senate.

The sheer ignorance of Senator Beyak's comments compound the shameful legacy of the residential school system, and her dogged refusal to reconsider or apologize for her comments speaks to a sense of pride in that ignorance. She must resign.

I lived in Dryden...I did not experience a lot of openmindedness...she may be representative of that community but not of our nation.

She must go. We must not tolerate this kind of ignorance at any level of government.

As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, this smacks of someone praising the Nazis for their wonderful record keeping and organizational skills. The Senate should not include someone so utterly clueless and ignorant.

She needs to be thoroughly educated on the History of the Residential school. Ignorance is not bliss

Resigning is the best personal response. Removal is the best party/government response. I believe we are at the removal stage!

I've e-mailed the Sentator to complain and have requested her resignation. I am requesting it again now by signing this petition.

I have already written to her directly, but add my name in hopes that the petition might bring about the needed just result.

Anyone that ignorant of history needs to go back to school and should not be in a leader ship position.

How can someone who willlfully chooses to ignore facts and to perpetuate poisonous racist beliefs hold such a high position of political power in Canada? Her seat on the Senate and its' Aboriginal People's Committee does not facilitate goodwill, it wholly undermines its legitimacy.
