I am absolutely appalled at the ignorance in her statements. She has failed in her role as a Senator and I demand that Beyak resign or be forced out. He views are disgusting and unacceptable. Resign now!

Ignorance is not an excuse. She has taken too many opportunities to be ugly and needs to go.

I encourage Senator Beyak to enrol and complete a course such as the one offered through Coursera and U of A on the history of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. Not only does she ignore the history of Canada's mistreatment of our Indigenous Peoples. She makes statements that reveal her ignorance and work against promoting an education about and an understanding of the atrocities of colonialism. If we can truthfully look at the past, only then can we accept work to make positive changes. Senator Beyak pretends the past did not exist.

Lynn Beyak's assertion residential schools may have contributed to any positive outcomes is absurd. Such stories of these outcomes illustrate the resiliency of these survivors and in no way provides support for these heinous institutions having existed.

I can't believe that my tax money, which should be going toward reconciliation and catch-up programs for indigenous peoples, should be going to pay the salary of this ill-informed senator. She should resign.

Every person in CANADA needs to take the time to read the Truth and Reconciliation Summary Report. http://www.trc.ca/websites/trcinstitution/File/2015/Findings/Exec_Summary_2015_05_31_web_o.pdf.

The comments made in MS. Beyak's letter were nothing less than reprehensible and damaging to Canadian reconciliation. For the good of the country she should resign immediately.

Typical right wing or should I say white wing politics. Divisive just like that idiot Trump. As a white person born in Canada, I'm outraged at the Senator's remarks. She should resign, failing that she should be remove from the senate. Her remarks are nothing short of hate speech, which is not condoned in Canada, Think Jim Keegstra.
