The comments senator Beyak has made are apalling and threaten the credibility of the Aboriginal People's Committee. She must be removed for trust to be reestablished in the senate's committment to justice.

What a completely outrageous and erroneous remark to make about residential schools. This woman is not qualified to be in the Senate and CERTAINLY not qualified nor in possession of the correct perspective to sit on the committee for aboriginal people. This is disgusting. No wonder the Truth and Reconciliation has resulted in such miniscule change thus far.... I wonder how many other such perspectives sit on the committee?? White, privileged, right wing and no doubt a Christian fundamentalist. Get her out of there!!!

Maintaining her ignorant stance, in the most reprehensible of ways, demonstrates how unfit she is to serve.

She is so off course with her thinking. It's a disgrace to what my people went through. I am personally hurt and angered at her comments.

Senator Beyak is not qualified or deserving of working on the Senate's Aboriginal Peoples Committee. She said she stands by her comments that are dillutional: she is not a survivor of residential school, like myself. She has not suffered what I have suffered as a child. Ottawa has to do the right thing by removing her from her position as Senator. To not comply to the requests of thousands of people, in defence of survivors is like saying we don't matter, and disrespect and dishonesty on behalf of the crown does matter. Remove her, please.

We have to stop this kind of lying, and rewriting history now -- it's already past thin edge of the wedge. Ugly and false.
