We demand the resignation of Senator Lynn Beyak and issuance of a formal apology.

Im a survivor !!!! Think being seperated from family is easy

As a First Nations woman of Canada and daughter of resident school survivors I am amazed at how disconnected and unable to empathize with the Aboriginal experience senator Beyak is! She needs to resign and apologize for real Truth and Reconciliation to begin!!!

Lynn Beyak's ignorant, racist views hold Canada back from true reconciliation and she should resign. She is not fit to be a senator and needs to step away from public life.

To say you have "suffered alongside" indigenous peoples is abhorrent. Using your position of power to perpetuate racist attitudes that justify cultural genocide is beyond an apology, you must resign.

Disgrace

This is a woman who hasn't read the TRC report and insists on flouting her ignorance apparently unconcerned about the huge deliterious emotional impact on Canada's Indigenous.

She should not be on the Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples, as she is not fit to make decisions on laws and policies affecting them.

To let this DISGUSTING Person help the aboriginals is UNACCEPTABLE. Fire her and replace with an Aboriginal FROM THE SCHOOL who has suffered!

Senator Lynn Beyak has demonstrated her ignorance of Canada's history of colonization. Moreover, she has silenced the victims by equating their ongoing pain to her experiences. This is totally unacceptable. If we are serious about accepting TRC's recommendations - education should start with government officials.

This woman truly scares me, and her opinions are not in the best interest of First Nations peoples let alone residential school survivors and there for. Is not in the least bit fit to be a political leader in this country.

She does not have the right to be in this position for the remarks about such a terrible part of our country history. Remove her from office immediately!!!!

Lynn Beyak is an embarrassment to our nation. Canada is done a disservice each time this person opens her mouth and makes another thoughtless ignorant comment. She cruelly inflicts more pain and suffering to all those who attended residential schools. Everyone needs healing not more wounds. Her insistence on maintaining her ridiculous position shows her ignorance and total lack of empathy. She is doing harm but does not recognise it. Why does this continue? She does not deserve a platform for this and certainly does not deserve any support in the upper chamber. She must go.
