my mother is a residential survivour, nothing good came out of her sexual, physical and mental abuses. Tell me how that was a good thing Sen. Lynn Beyak? Tell my mother how her trauma was a good thing.

I am disappointed in Ms Beyak's comments which are so far away from being balanced. Ms Beyak, you need to resign.

Beyak's statements about Canadian residential schools are the equivalent of Holocaust denial. She has no place in the Senate, occupying a high office in Canada.

Please force the resignation of Senator Lynn Beyak. She is clearly incompetent as a senator. She lacks compassion and empathy, and has no idea about the realities of Indigenous peoples' experiences. She certainly doesn't speak for me in the Senate.

Totally disgusted with your beliefs and that you get to put voice to them on the taxpayer's dime. You are totally on the wrong track and should review the history of the Residential Schools and the testimony given at the Truth and Reconcililiation Commission. You should do the right thing first by resigning immediately.

For my dad who was forced too attend. The first day there, his braids were cut off and his new leather moccasins and vest were taken from him and put in the garbage. He was only 7 years old.

Beyak's comments are notonly incorrect and lead to false beliefs but they are damaging to the effort of educating Canadians about the truth about residential schools. She and the party she represents should be ashamed!!!

Your ignorance is unacceptable. Resign and when you have some time I'd highly recommend you take the opportunity to learn. Take a class, read a book or better yet, listen. Indigenous people offer the gift of learning in many ways. Accept the gift.
