I agreed that teluk tongkang have become a better place as compared to last time, the place have become much more safer and cleaner after the couple have managing it.

I visited Teluk Tongkang beach in June 2016; spent a day just chilling on the beach and slept in a tent there at night. It's a beautiful beach and the couple managing the beach is a really cool couple who have spent the past one year or so cleaning up the place, setting up facilities like clean toilets, water, a cafe which sells drinks and snacks, volleyball court and providing equipment for camping. It's nice to have conveniences like clean toilets and water to shower a day on the beach or camping. There was also a a couple of other groups there when I was there. One was a group of locals having a party with barbecue and another group from KL were camping with cool hammocks. This beach is an awesome place to chill and I hope the Kuantan authorities will do what is right and continue to let the people manage this place so everyone can continue to enjoy this clean and safe environment.

I am definitely agree that Teluk Tongkang has became a safer and livelier place to be compared to the times where no one managed!

I met Thom and May May back in September 2016. I had the opportunity to help them build and expand their wonderful business. They have so many services available to both the local community as well as the backpacker society providing people with a place to enjoy BBQ picnics, hammocks to rest in, beach volleyball, Saturday night bon fires, a café offering a wide range of drinks from coffee to cola, a fully functioning bathroom with toilets and showers. This place has everything for a family to come enjoy the beautiful beach. There once was nothing here and now it has been built up to a place for everyone to come enjoy. DO NOT CLOSE!

I support this friendly couple because they have a lot of idea for the beach and for help the turism in Kuantan. The local people have to support them also ! They do a god job, continue like that

I believe that Thom and May are doing a great job in developing beach. They have been putting in a lot of great effort to promote the beach to become backpacker friendly. I think there has been a misunderstanding that happened here, which caused the controversy in this issue. However, they have been doing very well to maintain and promote tourism of the beach and I believe that this is a good step to start attracting tourists to visit Malaysia.
