Halal is only required by 4.8% of our population, why are the majority ie 95.2% of the population being forced to eat halal sureptitiously. Every UK citizen deserves the right to make an informed choice of what they eat.

halal certified products need to be clearly marked and preferably in a Halal aisle in the supermarket.

Halal food is forbidden to Christians, Sikhs, Hindus and Buddhists, as it has been slaughtered in the name of a false idol/god, contrary to that religion. It should also be noted that to make something "Halal," it only requires a prayer to be said before consumption. This is no different to the Christian saying grace. Certification is therefore not required and is just an extra cost placed on the rest of society to support one religion.

signed.Imposing islamic law or tradition on non muslims is undemocratic and offensive. Even Islamic countries do not impose this on their people.
