I think it is absolutely ridiculous that my daughter got pulled out of class because she was wearing athletic shorts. I did not think they looked inappropriate at all, and I hope this gets fixed.

I completely agree with the idea or changing the dresscode, it is completely unfair, and sexist for that matter, not once in my life have I ever seen a guy get dresscoded and girls everyday are getting dresscoded for completely ridiculous reasons. Not only is dresscoding someone interrupting their education which is why we are there in the first place but it is also interrupting their parents at work. Most parents dont have time to stop working to go back home and grab spare clothes for their kids and this also may cause trouble for the kid at home because the parent was interrupted from work to drive all the way to Lord Botetourt. Another thing is that if guys are harrassing girls regardless of what kind of clothes they're wearing why are WE the ones being punished??? Tell me why the boys who sexually harass girls aren't being called down and punished?? Tell me why we are having to wear clothes that may be uncomfortable or too hot because guys cant control themselves, that's not our fault, thats a self control issue and a hormone issue. I also find it REDICULOUS that bigger girls are being dresscoded more frequently, that's so insulting and belittling, they cant help the fact that they have more skin. I understand if someones buttcheeks are hanging out and I know there does have to be a limit somewhere but for God's sakes calm down a knee never hurt anyone. Anyway that is my opinion on the matter.

The botetourt county dress code is ridiculous, it’s like I’m sorry that girls are y’all and it’s hard to find things that fit and dresses are fine bc shorts are shorter than dresses and they should do shorts like if your fingers go past the end then the shorts aren’t dress code but if not they are the dress code is ridiculous sorry can’t help my height

The tall people thing is so true! I haven’t been able to wear shorts, dresses, or skirts without being dress coded or given judgemental looks.

What's so wrong with shoulders ? It's just skin so don't act like it's anything more, if it's " so distracting " , then why are you looking ! You have eyes , you choose where you look , so look away
