We are opposed to the presence of the Vodafone antenna system on Forsythia House, Brockley.

The health concerns related to phone masts are too unclear for anyone to responsibly allow a phone mast to be placed so close to communities of people. This is an irresponsible act on behalf of the council and those who gave it permission.

This is criminal. These are scientifically proven to be detrimental to human health and should not be anywhere near humans, especially children. Current recomendations state minumum of 400 metres away. Blatant abuse of council power.

We can't believe we have not been consulted about this, when, as the world health organisation says, we are at risk. We have three young children that live in the 400 metre radius, and we are worried about children's health, in the future and can't believe that Lewisham council have given their approval with out notifying any of the residents that live near the facility, it is deeply concerning; where has democracy gone?

We totally oppose this. We have young children and will be constantly worrying about their health and ours for as long as we live here and forever after.

This is unacceptable and must be removed.

There was no consultation with those living nearby (in my case Pendrell Road). The mast is ugly, highly visible, only about 15 metres above ground level and in the heart of a residential district. It is shameful that the council agreed to this without any consultation with us, the people who live here. I hope this high handed attitude is appropriately rewarded at the next council elections.

All that and the roof still leaks? That is not acceptable.

Totally ridiculous that there was no consultation. Of course the reason for that was that there would have been too much opposition!

These antenna systems should be away from residential areas. Many people can suffer from headaches and ill affects from having these waves around them. I for one sleep better when my phone is charging downstairs and not in the same room.

This is near my house, I do not want that thing near me.

A planning application applied for and simply granted two days later?? Someone at the council took a back hander for that...

It's an absolute eyesore, a potential health risk and shocking that residents weren't properly consulted. I hope we can group together to get this monstrosity removed.

Outrageous Shocking Immoral Deflated Undervalued Scandalous Angering

One of my son's is a pupil at a local Hatcham Temple Grove Free school and another at Oak Hill nursery. I do not think it is safe to have a transmitter in such close proximity to a nursery and school. I'm extremely concerned about potential heath implications on my children. There is a lack of long term studies into an impact of the transmitters on people, especially children's, heath and well-being. I request the transmitter is removed as soon as possible and relocated to a more remote location away from school, nurseries and residential areas.

These masts are obviously not "a safe distance from the school", a resolution adapted by the European Parliament in 2009. As far as I know neither the school itself nor the parents of the children have been consulted.

Just ludicrous

In my view a proper consultation should take place and ideally the aerial sited in alternative location away from our homes and local schools.
