This is certainly not a wise decision. Kids have so much pressure on them in school to do well academically, they look forward to sports to relieve stress. Playing against large schools with the ability to choose the best athletes from large numbers creates a stress level to play harder. Injuries will increase, travel is further and will take away from family time and homework time. What does that do to the self esteem of our kids if they are being beaten every game? Their grades will suffer as well. Then Region 10 will not have the reputation as an awesome school system. Bad idea! Do not change!

Given all the data regarding the size of the schools Mills would be competing against as well as the larger budget requirements to cover increased travel expenses to participate in the CCC, it seems an unwise move at this time. Mills' student athletes would suffer; the competition would be unfair to the size of Mills. Our student athletes would become demoralized. As for the budget issue; during this time when the budget is a constant source of deep concern, why would Mills embark on such a venture. Hopefully Mills will reconsider their decision and vote to remain in a league where our students can flourish rather than flounder in a sea of disappointment.

We will be the weakest team in a division of large schools. I see no advantage, and many disadvantages. Please rescind this poor decision.

Please reverse the decision to join the CCC. It is not in the best interest of our students for many reasons. By moving you are making the decision to put our students at an increased injury risk for many sports. It's not about wins and losses - it is about the best interest and the well being of all our students. Please please please reverse this decision to join the CCC. Traci Polinsky

This doesn’t sound like the right fit for region 10. Please reconsider.

I can’t believe this is even a consideration to do this to our kids!!! All the other towns and schools are telling how ridiculously stupid move would be

As i have stated before, this may help a couple of teams who could get more competitive games on their own anyway, but will severely impact (negatively) the vast majority of numerous teams that we have. Looking into NVL, or just staying put, as we are not killing it in our league by any stretch of the imagination, would both be much more reasonable ideas to persue.

Will only benefit some teams and is not looking into the future generations of mills students. Also there is more options than the CCC that we did not look into.

To the Board of Education: please take the time to listen to the student athletes, the coaches and the parents who will be affected by this decision. Please listen with an open mind. Based on all I have learned and heard, and based on watching my own student athletes, Lewis Mills does not belong in the CCC. Please reconsider your vote and allow our school to remain in the Berkshire League.

Terrible decision by a group who knows nothing and is not a part of any Lewis Mills athletics.
