The Parks and Rec Department is still dragging their feet while we wait for them to acknowledge the obvious demand for these trails. I am tired of wasting winter months because the city refuses to prioritize accessible outdoor recreation for the rest of us.

The Parks and Rec Department can no longer ignore the massive wave of support pouring in for these trails. They keep stalling but our momentum is making it impossible for them to pretend this demand does not exist.

YES PLEASE. we need more stuff to do outside in the winter when the snow hits. my kids would love this.
Finally some groomed tracks nearby. Im tired of driving to des moines trails just to find them in bad shape.
fingers crossed this happens! always looking for ways to stay active during these iowa winters.
Great idea. Groomed trails are way better than just hacking through the woods like I usually do.
Living in WDM and having to drive all the way up to Brenton or even further is a drag. Would love something local for quick winter workouts.
Love the idea .Des Moines needs these things for the community.

It would be nice in Urbandale as well. Instead of traveling 20 min to nearest trail. Chris from lakside Nordic ski club.
