On June 30 WCPO television station upset many of its loyal viewers by running a piece on the life and death of
Trepierre Hummons
the individual who murdered decorated police officer Sonny Kim.
Many of us are outraged at WCPO's decision. This was obviously a media ploy and a disrespect to the memory of officer Kim. We demand an apology from WCPO for the Kim family and for police officers around the world.
The amount of people who logged on just to back this up has me honestly overwhelmed and I keep staring at the screen in disbelief. It feels like the message is actually landing now because the sheer volume of support is growing way faster than I ever thought possible.

This was not a story that we needed to see! I have been a loyal channel 9 viewer for many years, and I'm very disappointed in some of the recent events carried on by your reporters, including rushing to the Kim family residence, and reporting his death before the official announcement! Get it together channel 9! You are losing viewers!!!

I can't even begin to understand the logic on why this seemed like remotely a good idea. It was incredibly disrespectful to the Kim family and our Cincinnati police force.

Such a travesty that a local station feels the need to disgrace the sacrifice of a hero like Officer Kim by highlighting the murderer.

I don't believe that WCPO did something like that because they
have NO compassion for Officer Kim's family.
Here, a man died and now, WCPO showed the video anyway because
they don't care.

Media outlets such as yourselfs are responsible for the riots, racial divide, and most importantly the lack of respect you show towards the law enforcement community. For once try reporting a true and correct story instead of worrying about what will get the best ratings.

You, the media, are to blame for all the racial issues in this country. YOU keep stirring the pot of hatred. You make me throw up in my mouth.
