Dear NYS Westchester Delegation, We the undersigned wish to express our deep disappointment in the State's 2009-10 budget. The new budget demonstrates a near total disregard for fiscal responsibility and reform. With New York State facing a major financial crisis, the new budget increases taxes and fees on multiple levels and eliminates important tax reduction programs. This is a lethal combination that threatens to drive more businesses out of the state when New York can least afford it, and it virtually ensures that the state will remain as the "least-friendly" business state in the nation. We call on our State Legislators to immediately begin the discussion and implementation of the fiscal reforms that have been presented by our Association and the business community and we commit ourselves to closely monitoring their progress. Fiscal reform can no longer be ignored.
