It is a sad reality to know that one day we will wake up in this country without a job, without a home, without the basic things for survival. When all that stress comes upon us and we run to the beach to relax and cool down we find that it will cost us just to feel the sand between our toes. All of 500 dollars, but wait we don't have a job so where are we going to get the money from? (Like a little child in a class room with hand in the air eager to share the answer to the teacher's question) I know!!!! Steal from the rich while hiding from the police, Murder the poor for the little they have (red cent), walk through the town with hand outstretched (beg you a 20 nuh, need 500 dollar fi go Winifred beach go get rid a mi stress). It is time the government and UDC realize that unhappy cows don't produce milk (or good milk). Leave the beach so we can get rid of our unemployment, poor people, nutten nah gwaan stress. (words written in patois may not be spelled properly, but hey!! thats how the situation feels.) Bless

Been to that beach several times with my church group. it's one of the most beautiful beaches in Ja with a very unique location. Living in other countries and see that their people have free access to their beaches I don't understand why We as Jamaicans should not enjoy htis previllege, not everything has to be sold.

I was born in Portland and now live in Kingston, the beaches in Kingston & St. Andrew and dirty due to urbanization. Portland, in particular Fairy Hill, is not Negril! That is the beach I relax at,enjoy sea almonds and peace when I get the chance to be in my beloved hometown. Look at what has happened to rain forests in other countries, right here in Ja. Negril is loosing it miles of white sandy beach...for God's sake we cannot let them spoil our parish too...we must ensure this does not happen

The government is just selling out the whole country and not getting nothing in return. They are destroying my beautiful country. They are just making people come in and live off poor people's back. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I grew up going to that beach, it was a solace for me in my hard times. I fail to see why the government don't just invest in the beach, but they won't, why? Cause they won't make the billions from putting up the posh villas etc. shame, shame!!!!!!!
