I grew up going to that beach, it was a solace for me in my hard times. I fail to see why the government don't just invest in the beach, but they won't, why? Cause they won't make the billions from putting up the posh villas etc. shame, shame!!!!!!!

While I admit that the infrastructure and facilities needs fixing. I believe the government can invests in it for the sake of us all who have paid our taxes and have nowhere else to go. They can find money for nepotism and cronyism so they can find a little money just to get proper sanitary facilities in place even if a person have to pay a $50.00 for the upkeep and care, But not to sell out to UDC and the private sector to make millions at poor people's expense. Because once UDC take over the cost for an average person entering that beach will be about $500 per person of which none will be put back into the community. We need to support this cause and let the government of Jamaica know that people will not tolerate there slackness!!

The Jamaican public must have access to beautiful PUBLIC beaches like WINNIFRED. This land is one of the few remaining public/free beaches in the beautiful, now over capitalized area of Portland Jamaica. This is a place for everyone, a natural community haven for locals and visitors a like. Most Jamaican families are large and not wealthy. If we install an entrance fee only foreigners will be able to afford it. Let's help to not just protect this beach, but the protect the rights and prosperity of the Jamaican people.

THE UDC NEED TO FOCUS ON THEIR LOSS MAKING ACTIVITIES AND LEAVE WINIFRED BEACH TO THE PEOPLE. UDC ARE MISGUIDED, TOURIST WANT NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND TO ENJOY JAMAICA ALONG WITH THE PEOPLE OF JAMAICA. NOT ALL SO CALLED 'TOURIST' WANT TO BE IN SECLUDED UNNATURAL ENVIRONMENT OF ALL INCLUSIVE HOTELS. UDC MUST WORK WITH THE PEOPLE OF FAIRY HILL TO KEEP THIS BEACH FREE FOR ALL.
