I do not live in the country, but when I visit with family and friends, we stay away from hotels. We enjoy mixing with the locals to get a real feel of the community, something that never happens at hotels.

I am not against development for our country but there must be a balance. Too much nonsense happening in this country. When will it end? Leave us with the beach.

Please leave us with the only recreational area of this nature that is still available to citizens of Fairy Hill and the wider Portland. Portlanders deserve atleast this. You have taken away our coast line, you have taken away our jobs, our hotels, we deserve atleast this.

I am not against development but there must be a balance. The Jamaican public should continue to have unrestricted access to the beach.

It is a sad reality to know that one day we will wake up in this country without a job, without a home, without the basic things for survival. When all that stress comes upon us and we run to the beach to relax and cool down we find that it will cost us just to feel the sand between our toes. All of 500 dollars, but wait we don't have a job so where are we going to get the money from? (Like a little child in a class room with hand in the air eager to share the answer to the teacher's question) I know!!!! Steal from the rich while hiding from the police, Murder the poor for the little they have (red cent), walk through the town with hand outstretched (beg you a 20 nuh, need 500 dollar fi go Winifred beach go get rid a mi stress). It is time the government and UDC realize that unhappy cows don't produce milk (or good milk). Leave the beach so we can get rid of our unemployment, poor people, nutten nah gwaan stress. (words written in patois may not be spelled properly, but hey!! thats how the situation feels.) Bless
