I have been going to this beach since i could remember and it has always belonged to the people of port antonio and should remain that way. Everytime i return to Jamaica this is the only beach i go to because its ours. It is also more that just a beach, it is a social gathering point, a place of relaxation for the hard working people, a place to forget about the stress and hardships one endures and a place you and your family can let loose and have fun. The beach belongs to the people of port antonio. These people are the ones who have cared for it all these years and ensure that the area is clean and well maintained, they are a family. I love this beach and all the people who take care of it and make a living working there. I gladly sign my name to this petition in support of keeping winnifred beach free for the people to enjoy.

Of the few accessible and unpolluted beaches left , the UDC needs to back off this one. Enough is enough.

Leave us something that we poor Jamaicans can call our own. This beach has been well kept and lovingly tended. Why displace & dispossess the people now? Shame on the establishments that seek to carry out this injustice.

I have visited Winnifred's on many occasions and was taken aback by its crisp, clean, pure waters...., that I can see my feet in when I am neck deep. Do not give up the fight. Jamaica has give up EVERYTHING to everyone who asks, please be strong. Given as a gift to Portland and Jamaica. No one should take a gift which does not belong to them in order to make a profit. That is wrong on so many levels. FATHER HELP IN THIS STRUGGLE AMEN.

I have visited Winnifred's on many occasions and was taken aback by its crisp, clean, pure waters...., that I can see my feet in when I am neck deep. Do not give up the fight. Jamaica has give up EVERYTHING to everyone who asks, please be strong. Given as a gift to Portland and Jamaica. No one should take a gift which does not belong to them in order to make a profit. That is wrong on so many levels. FATHER HELP IN THIS STRUGGLE AMEN.

Preserve Jamaica's beautiful and natural spots. Respect those who respect and take care of the land. I love Winnifred beach and I am so tired of the reckless government marching around like a bull in a china shop, destroying sacred site that can never be rebuilt.

Fairy Hill is a beautiful place. The beach should be open to all. Enough of the beaches are in private hands already.
