Not only should locals not be deprived of access to Jamaica's beaches, but it would be a gross injustice for those who have stewarded Winnifred Beach for so long to be denied continued use.

I think it is totally unconscionable for the government to allow the beaches, that are free to the public in every other Caribbean island, to be closed off from the natives of the land, and ask them to pay a premium to visit their own beach. Frigin unconscionable!!

I saw this story and was so disappointed to see this going on. We really have to fight for the rights of native Jamaicans to have access to their own country's resources and chief among them are its beautiful spaces.
