A wonderful beach that should be left alone from Government's hands as a PiggyBank for its exploits

Local communities should have the right of access to their local beach. It is morally right and should be protected by law.

It is important that the beauty of Jamaica remains available to Jamaicans, not just foreigners. I am a foreigner, and personally, believe it would be a tragedy if regular Jamaicans are shunted aside for rich visitors from abroad.

I say leave the people with a heritage and legacy they can call their own that they can collectively show their pride in. Let Winnifred Beach remain FREE as the blood that races through the people's vein, let the presence of this free beach be the heart that pumps pride through the veins of this community.

I was born and raised in Portland Jamaica. Winnifred has always been a part of me and my family lives, When I take my Kids to Jamaica during the summertime, they so look forward to getting up and taking that early morning walk for a swim. This is the only beach in this area where low income families can still have a private beach date, plan a picnic, have a little family get together and even just go for a swim. This is a place where you have a real culture combination, people from all walks of life meet at Winnifred Beach, PLEASE KEEP WINNIFRED BEACH FREE FROM development and FREE for the Community and Visitors, Lets keep WINNIFRED in it's beautiful, tranquil state.

Soon there will be no beach for a Jamaican to use - keep it free for the public.
