This place was the most amazing respite from crappy top 40 in high school. The history of wax track MUST be preserved

Wax Trax! I spent much of my formative years there. So much more than a record store or a label. A cultural institution! Please bestow landmark status on this location.

This place is such an iconic institution. Can you even say record store without Wax Trax coming into your mind. Absolute classic with roots running so deep into the Chicago underground, it would be a shame to lose it and watch it get washed away by some other development. Wax Trax forever!

This record label helped me during a difficult time. I signed this petition to help during yours. Peace and love from Canada.

Please make this happen. This is equivalent to a Sun Studios, or Ardent or a different time and place. A battle cry nonetheless.

This should be saved. Think of all the music that originated from here.

Please try to preserve as much as this building if you can, even if it’s only three original walls so you could build and expand onto the back.
