This building is an important part of the history of music and we need to preserve the building and the store front so it can never be forgotten. Thanks.

My life would be completely different if Wax Trax never existed. Perhaps I wouldn’t even exist. Thank you.

As Greater Than One I released with Wax Trax and even stayed for two weeks as a a guest of Jim & Dannie above the store. An iconic ,ocation of Chicago and World subculture.

This record store is singly responsible for the trajectory of my future. Chicago and wax trax are some of the innovators that shaped a genre of music and also shaped many kids lives. This gave us a place to find music you couldn’t find anywhere else. It shaped musicians and artists alike a community to network and get their music to the public. I still feel sad when I drive by and it’s not there. Having the store front changed in anyway would be devastating. Memories are all we live with. Please keep this landmark

No Wax Trax….there would have been no metro / smartbar, jim and Danny, we’re two of the most important and significant people I have ever met. The store was the hub for us all, clearly a landmark!!

Waxtrax was and always will be an enormous part of chicago history. From the record store, to the iconic sub genre of music, artists and entertainers whom invented it and played it and the label upon which it was all released. The story of wax Trax records is a true chicago tale and deserves to have it's legacy honored with a historic landmark for future generations to visit, learn and pay their respects

This was the Hitsville U.S.A. of punk, industrial, and a dozen other genres. They were producing & distributing a generations-worth of anthems. Save it. Please.
