The only reason I got a credit card was to buy records here. I was there every weekend. Before the internet it was the main hub to find out entertainment from bands to art. Best chat room ever is flipping through records, seeing what others have in their hands and striking up conversations over vinyl.

Know the building, the block, the ‘hood, street, region, all of it and more a rich cultural go-to during my decades in Chicago. It’s part of an important resource I still draw on for information, reflection, inspiration. Very glad I had the experience, thank you, Chicago.

This place helped to open my mind in many different ways when in my early 20's. It left me with memories and a refined love of music that has stayed with me to this day. A special place.
