My first solo trip to the big city was to visit Wax Trax and find the music I couldn’t find out in the boonies. Many trips followed.

Wax Trax Denver was my stomping grounds, but all the real musical history of the bands and label happened here. Make this a Landmarked building now!

Im from Milwaukee.. I Found out this store existed because it was a map point for a rave. I could not believe my favorite industrial label had a store. I lucked out and got to shop there a handful of times before it closed. I miss the 90's

It was my music Mecca. It’s where I built the coolest part of record collection. Hours upon hours spent browsing and learning.

Besides industrial, Wax Trax had an excellent selection of world music. I definitely appreciated what they brought to Chicago.

This storefront served as an instrumental part of Chicago music history in the 80s and early 90s. It was a staple for us Chicago youth and served as a historic record label known throughout the entire world. Preserve this Chicago landmark.

This place was so important to my youth and definitely helped shape my future career as a nightclub DJ.
