I spent many hours flipping through the vinyl at Wax Trax, along with a lot of other people of that era. There was no judgement or bias, just a shared love of music that transcended our perceived differences. Please preserve this space that was so integral to happiness in so many lives.

Wax Trax Records changed my life and broadened the global music scene to a huge degree. I can’t stress it’s cultural significance enough.

Wax Trax! Records is equally as significant to musical culture as Sun Records in Memphis or Chess Records in Chicago. It should be recognized as a historic landmark building.

Wax Trax was a cultural and musical hub for many genres new and existing from industrial, new wave, ambient and experimental throughout the 80s - 90s. It has had such an impact on so many people by not only bringing different bands together, but by bringing people in the music and arts community together as well and influencing/impacting their work on a large scale. Wax Trax has played an integral part in the Chicago music scene and I personally want to thank Julia Nash for keeping the legacy going best she can which is no easy job. So thank you Julia! Emily
