I cut my punk teeth on their vinyl. Dancing with friends was my ecstasy, not a designer drug. Weed was enough for me back then.

To both music, and what it means in the culture of Chicago, don’t let this landmark become just another place only able to be seen in old pictures. The walls of this place are Witness to sonic landscapes and great times had by so many finding that one album that they looked for so long. Cant put a price on a memory.

Wax Trax! helped me through so much of my youth; I found my people because of WT’s existence and this might have saved my life. The founders (posthumously) and their families deserve this. We are a community.
