Living in the burbs we would take the train down on Saturday and pick up the most amazing music, poster and clothing at the time. Where you could talk with the label artists about music and art. Very fun times indeed.

In the mid-80s I worked in a restaurant on Lincoln avenue. After I got my tips paid out I’d go down the street and blow all my money on records.

Wax Trax is a Chicago institution and needs to be kept around. Spent a lot of time in the late 80’s and 90’s listening and picking up great music!

Nothing means the Chicago music scene more than Wax Trax Records. Kids travelled from the suburbs into the city to buy their records from Wax Trax because it was just cooler to do.

Wax Trax! was a core part of my Chicago existence in the '80s, and deserves landmark status.
