I spent years at wax tracks growing up in Chicago. It fostered my absolute obsession and love for Music to the point that the day I left for college I dedicated myself to working in the music industry. For 26 years worked for record labels including 17 years at Warner Bros. Records. I owe so much of my career to wax Trax

I loved this place and the entire Wax Trax music and aesthetic was such an integral part of my growth into adulthood as the ‘80’s turned into the ‘90’s. This place represents a pillar of the person I have become and am to this day.

I wish this store had started in TX. As a kid I could only dream of actually going to Wax Trax. Chicagoan's should be proud to have this building still standing, it has meant so much to music. Give the old structure the recognition it deserves.

My father lived in the suburbs of Chicago and any time I visited this was our first stop.
