Wax Trax IS a Chicago landmark whether you recognize it or not. Money isn't everything. Greed kills. Giving Wax Trax landmark status is obviously the right thing to do. It might not be YOUR thing, but it certainly is very important to many people in the city of Chicago spanning several generations for many different reasons.

A well-deserved structure. It is a true testament to the vast array of Chicago's subcultures. A home with a thousand and one heart beats, that promoted a non-judgmental sense of belonging to those who didn't belong anywhere else.

This building is a cultural icon representing not only the Wax Trax! history, but also it's profound legacy in the history of Industrial and Post Punk music as a Studio, label, and storefront. A capture of time that was as significant globally as was Sun Studios and other legendary locations.

It’s a Chicago original enterprise, like Chess Records, it deserves to be an historical landmark.

The Wax Trax! Store on Lincoln Av was my Mecca in the 80s. It culturally shaped me. Hugely important in my life. Would love to see it preserved.

Please designate this site as historical. Too much history will be lost if not given proper status.
