Only was there a few times as a young punk. I still talk about how cool this store was to this day. Such an impact!

Wax Trax! helped to put Chicago on the world map for a style of music that is still celebrated today. What a meaningful and wonderful tribute to such a historic locale!

The significant contribution Wax Trax ( both the store and record label) made to music globally should not be overlooked. In order to ensure Wax Trax’s, legacy remains in tact, please vote to grant landmark status to 2449 Lincoln Ave, the original home of Wax Trax Records.

Great memories. I used to work the box office at the old Biograph Theatre and would run down to the store on my brakes between movies. Also, purchased some wonderful shoes there!

This needs to happen. I can honestly say the Wax Trax! saved my life. The music and the people teaching me it was OK and good to be me.

I may not have stepped into this place, but I am for saving a Chicago place that has character, life, and history. We need more places to be saved like this one. Save a historic place that brought music to life.

I loved this place and bought many records there (and one unlistenable Joy Division bootleg cassette).

This building and the goings on inside shaped my view of the musical world and contributed to my formation as a person. And I think I turned out pretty OK.

The white facade is better than a white picket fence any day….

This was the place that helped me discover so much of the music that still resonates so many years later. Passing a love for it all to my kids hoping they appreciate it as much as I have. Wax Trax!
