I remember going to Wax Trax! with my sister. We were completely different people. We didn’t care and neither did Wax Trax!. The last time we were there, Chet Coppock double parked and blocked my car in. If he was still with us, I’m sure he would be signing this as well.

Chicago’s punk rock center . So much music and entertainment generated from this establishment. It’s historic already in everyone who’s ever listened to any waxtrax song. Why destroy that?

The city is a different and better place because of what happened in this building and who it attracted.

Wax Trax was my favorite record store in Chicago. I do remember going upstairs to the second floor, where they had a "boutique" with clothes you can buy. I still have a skinny tie or two that I bought there (yes, skinny, 80's style ties).

I spent a lot of time and most of my allowance at Wax Trax! It was worth every penny and it’s definitely an historical landmark to me.

It's a building filled with music history. We have lost too much of our history, please not this too.

Best wishes WAX TRAX! from NYC - your store may be in Chicago but your influence is felt far across the borders of your city!

Thanks for being part of the soundtrack of my life. Wax Trax made it ok to be a misfit.
