Wax Trax is sure a huge part of Chicago’s contribution to international music culture. I hope we can remember it. As a record collector, one of the last things I bought was a WT re-release of an album by Coil. The store label and scene continue to be important and gain new fans to this day.

Save Wax Trax! This is a monumental landmark not only for music but for multiple subcultures as well! So many things would not exist the way it does now without Wax Trax!

I loved visiting Wax Trax and it was an important destination for me when I moved to Chicago 35 years ago, and an important destination when guests visited. I still have vinyl and memories from Wax Trax and would travel to and patronize any landmark evolution or tribute to the original. How about a venue tour, along line of Chicago Architecture Tours?

Going to Wax Trax changed the directing of my life. Instead of falling into a life of gangbanging this place showed me an alternative which I have carried all these years. It didn't just happen for me but also to many of my friends at the time. Thank you for that and good luck!

Record stores are our own type of library and Time Machine. We need to keep the traditions of storing music and time keeping events.
