Wax Trax helped to unite an eclectic group of individuals in Chicago and then worldwide with ideals innovated through industrial music that still courses in our veins today. This group still gathers with passion for the music when opportunities arise at Metro, Riveria Vic, Thalia Hall, etc, as well as venues around the world. Let's pay tribute to Chicago's own Industrial label WAX TRAX!

Wax Trax! Is as important to underground electronic music as CBGB is to New York Rock and roll and punk. It made Chicago a hub in the industry and a home, then and now, to numerous legends in the genre. Designation of the original storefront ass historical landmark would recognize this fact and help Chicago by adding a landmark to its already iconic status as a home of musical innovation.

My husband recorded there. This is a staple in the Chicago music scene going back decades. We need to protect it!

I spent a good majority of my teens and early 20’s at this location and enjoying industrial music. This has got to happen!!!
