Wax Trax records was a magnificent place where people could meet, listen to music, and socialize without being judged. The music that came from this record store spoke to me and so many others. Wax Trax for life!

Wax Trax is an institution. The cradle of so many creative bands. It deeply built my own musical landscape. They helped and discovered so many bands from the States, Canada, Europe including my home country Belgium.
They created the path to a fantastic and diverse musical journey. Thank you Wax Trax. You deserve credit for all that.

Wax Trax Records was a big part of Chicago's music scene (which subsequently spread to all corners of the globe) and this legendary location should absolutely be designated landmark status!

Wax Trax! was a huge part of my life from 1984 to 1994. It shaped me as an individual and a musician. It created lifelong friendships with store and label employees as well as customers. It would be a shame not to designate 2449 N. Lincoln Ave as a landmark in Chicago. It produced a genre of music and a lifestyle of its own.

Growing up, this was the one place I could go to learn about culture and meet creative people like me. It was the gateway to Lincoln park and Guild Books, Bourgois Pig and the wonders of a great neighborhood.

Was introduced to a bunch of new music from you guys when I was a teenager in the 80's. This is one of the places I visited to purchase industrial. Thanks for being there!

Drawn to it as a kid, grew with this label as a teen and young adult, and became the soundtrack of my adulthood, and now closing in on 50 years of life.

Wax Trax! was a seminal institution in the advancement of underground punk, industrial, and countless other genres of music. This legacy should be maintained for the influential musical icon it was and still is.

WaxTrax Records was a vital part of my university years. I absolutely believe that the building that housed the original store is worth of being designated as a historical site. Thanks!
